Talk about "MythBusters: The Search" the TV Series "Episode 8" [Final Episode]

Just like last time I would not give detail spoiler of the episode, I would just talk about it.

With 4 remaining contestants, they also did two myth on this episode. Following the same pattern as last time; the 1st myth they did as a teams while the 2nd myth they were judge as individual.

This is the Final Episode where they will select the next generation of Mythbusters. It was only "live" when they announce the winner of who the next Mythbusters, it was not "live" when they prerecord the Episode 8.

The Next Generation of Mythbusters are: Brain and Jon.

Note to Self: I may post/blog in later blog on each Episode (Maybe, because there no wiki info on it as of yet).

Talk about "MythBusters: The Search" the TV Series "Episode 7"

Just like last time I would not give detail spoiler of the episode, I would just talk about it.

With 5 remaining contestants, they also did two myth on this episode. Following the same pattern as last time; the 1st myth they did it in teams while the 2nd myth they were judge as individual.

This episode when the person that got voted out/kick out/judge out, they did not needed to explain why they got kick out. The TV Narrator however did explain or a possible reason to us (the viewer) why that person was pick. Before the person left (the person that got voted out) the TV host "hinted" that they might "return". Now there are 4 remaining contestant on the Show left.

"The Final" is on the next episode next Saturday on the Science Channel.

Talk about "MythBusters: The Search" the TV Series "Episode 6"

Just like last time I would not give detail spoiler of the episode, I would just talk about it.

With 6 remaining contestants, they also did two myth on this episode. Following the same pattern as last time; the 1st myth they did it in teams while the 2nd myth they were judge as individual.

The person that got voted out/kick out/judge out this time with reason stated: "Lack of Collaboration" based on all the all the myth done so far including this episode. Now there are 5 remaining contestant on the Show.

This episode 2nd myth I believes could happen in real life because of the size of those small plane. If smallest enough it could only fits two people on the plane; One pilot and One passenger equal two person only plane, if the pilot is unable to fly in mid-flight then that situation portray in this episode could happen unlike the the myth done by Jamie and Adam on a large airliner where there a pilot and a co-pilot.

What I think of OR see in the remaining Six contestants on "MythBusters: The Search"

After Episode 5, six contestants still remain on "MythBusters: The Search". Now I'm going describe in my opinion how I see the remaining contestants throughout the five episodes.

Brain

What stand out for me on Brain is that he not afraid to give an opinion whether it's bad build and in needed to scrape or why a build didn't work like they planned.

Martin

Martin seem to be always in the eye of the storm of a sort. In every team build, he always proactive in giving ideas and giving a hand in the build.

Allen

The Electronic and Artist Man. If there wires and machines, he the man that does it. If there time on the build, he made something just for look.

Jon

What I see is that when excited, he will scream and become loud at the team build face off. A determined person who want to win (team battle)

Tamara

The last female contestant. What I see in her is that she is a determined and focus person. A never fail type of mind set .

Hackett

A Jack in the Box and shown individualism. Out of all the contestants include those that got eliminated, his build idea is always "out of the box" ideas for the good and the bad. He shown both good builds and bad builds. He is however is person who hard to compromise with while on the other hand he try to crack joke now and then.

People who I see that stand out for the good or to the bad (from episodes 1 thru the current episodes):
  • Brain
  • Martin
  • Hackett

Talk about "MythBusters: The Search" the TV Series "Episode 5"

Just like last time I would not give detail spoiler of the episode, I would just talk about it.

With 6 remaining contestants, they also did two myth on this episode. Following the same pattern as last time; the 1st myth they did it in teams while the 2nd myth they were judge as individual.

No person was eliminated this week, the number of contestants remain the same.

On this episode we get to see two important things; people bending the rule of the myth build for the first time and people leading a hand on building the myth build on the other team when they finish building their own rig early. Good episode.

Talk about "MythBusters: The Search" the TV Series "Episode 4"

Just like last time I would not give detail spoiler of the episode, I would just talk about it.

With 7 remaining contestants, they also did two myth on this episode. Following the same pattern as last time; the 1st myth they did it in teams while the 2nd myth they were judge as individual.

The person that got voted out/kick out/judge out this time with reason stated: "Lack of Build Skills". Now there are 6 remaining contestant on the Show.

On the 1st myth they "Confirm" what was "Busted" from the original Mythbusters, while on the other hand the 2nd myth this time was very interesting. The previous three episode on the 2nd myth are just dumb and lack of timing and planning to make look more interesting. That my opinion.

The question this time for myself is how many "Host" are they looking for? Two? Three? Four? or Five? It can't be "One" because they always need helping hand to build stuff. I may think it "Two" just like the original Mythbusters when they just started.

Talk about "MythBusters: The Search" the TV Series "Episode 3"

Just like last time I would not give detail spoiler of the episode, I would just talk about it.

With 8 remaining contestants, they also did two myth on this episode. Following the same pattern as last time; the 1st myth they did it in teams while the 2nd myth they were judge as individual.

The person that got voted out/kick out/judge out this time with reason stated: "Lack of Communication and Time Management". Well, Mythbusters are always on time crunch when building stuff for any myth. Now there are 7 remaining contestant on the Show.

With that taking care of now I talk about the 2 myth they did this time. First myth I got no complain with the way they did it and the result. The second myth on the other hand I have lot of  "word" (meaning: complain) to say which I actuality need to stated the myth they did (spoiler). The title of the myth is call "Shooting Blind" with myth which ask "can a hero able to shoot the bad guy in blind like situation every time with only sound as the aid?"

My question are:
  • Is the hero trying to kill or disable the bad guy?
  • If the hero trying to disable the bad guy, why shoot in the dark in the first place? that still going kill him if you don't know where you aiming at.
  • If the hero is trying to kill the bad guy, why wouldn't the bad guy be arm?
  • So it assume that the hero is shooting a bad guy in the dark that is unarm but dangerous enough to shoot and kill. Is that the set up?
  • Wouldn't both side be blind in the dark and can't see? While the is hero is armed, the bad guy is assumed unarm (given how they show the animated) and is trying to get away. Unless you have night version or blind training, the bad guy is unlikely to run away quickly without hitting stuff or crashing into thing.
  • Isn't this myth just another version of these combination myth from the past: "Can a person shoot around a corner accurately using a variety of methods?", "Can a cowboy shoot a gun out of a person's hand without injuring him?", and "Is it possible for a hitman to fire a bullet through a wall and hit a moving target on the other side?"
  • And it assuming the hero is an experience gun user, My question overall is "why did they uses the contestants to test this myth when some of them clearly is their first time even holding a gun?
I would feel better with the result with either A.) they uses an experience or expert gun user as a control or B.) Our contestants have more time training shooting and handling a gun. The fact that some of the contestants never hold a gun before is no difference from "shooting blind" while "shooting blind".

Talk about "MythBusters: The Search" the TV Series "Episode 2"

Just like last time I would not give detail spoiler of the episode, I would just talk about it.

With 9 remaining contestants, they also did two myth on this episode. Following the same pattern as last time; the 1st myth they did it in teams while the 2nd myth they were judge as individual. Overall I got no complain on the result of the myths but I do have a question on the 2nd myth on why they (TV host) pull 2 of the contestants out of the experiment. They (both the TV host and the people that got pull out) never explain it before or after the experiment for that myth. Were they so unskilled for the experiment or were they so skilled for the experiment that they were pull out or were they the pull out for other reason? We will never know until they tell us.

The person that got voted out/kick out/judge out this time with reason stated: "Lack of Communication". I as the TV watcher kind of agree but it was not really shown on this episode but it were shown on the last episode when doing the 1st myth on episode 1. Now there are 8 remaining contestant on the Show.

"MythBusters: The Search" TV Series started "Episode 1" Today On Science Channel [01/08/17]

The New TV Series "MythBusters: The Search" just started today (Sunday - 01/08/17) on the Science Channel with episode 1, with a new episode starting next week on Saturday (01/14/17) along with a rerun episode of episode 1.

This TV Series is trying to find the next hosts for the next gen. of MythBusters, so course they introduce the next possible hosts with 10 different people where half of them has a degree in science in something while the other half are experiences builder in their field related to science.

They only did 2 myth on this episode and by the end of the episode, one of the "possible hosts" was voted out by the judge behind this new TV Series (to find a new host) because it is a contest. Now there 9 left.

I don't want to spoil who got voted out/kick out/judge out for people who hasn't watch the episode yet but I can tell why that person was chosen.

In My own word and how I see it and interpret it from what the TV stated (There Niche Was Too Small); That the person that was voted out was because they could not adapt well or quickly enough outside their field of expertise. That why they stated what they stated on the TV series.

-------------------------------------
Now about the two myth they did on this episode with none spoiler like statement from me. The 1st myth they did as a team while the second myth they did it as individual. While I don't question the result of both myth because I believe they (The TV people, not the contestant) chosen these to test the contestant of their overall abilities for the show. I do however question the methodology in which they did the second myth. My main point; too many "human factor" in the data collocation.
