Killzone: Mercenary - Mission 2 (Code of Engagement): Covert Contract (walkthrough)

Contract loadout requirements: M33

The mission requirements:
  • Stealth through the wing
  • Headshot 5 snipers with M33 sniper rifle
  • Backstab 10 enemies
  • Stealth through the zipline
My recommendation to bring along on this contract loadout: Van-Guard: Ghost.

It be extremely hard to do without this Van-Guard, I’m not saying it not possible but hard, real hard. Now the whole 1st part of the mission right off the bat require both patience and timing for the player to get through it since you can neither be seen, heard, or alert the enemies or else you fail. You will finish 3 of the mission requirement by the time you reach the server room. I will write a walkthrough from the start of the mission until to the server room, which by then you finishes 3 of the mission requirement using my play-style walkthrough for this mission contract, I will break them down  in section for easy to understand, I hope.

I like to noted that if you are seen while trying to kill using backstab while doing the Stealth part in this mission, you only got 1 second to kill that person off or else you fail in the Stealth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stealth through the wing:

This applies from the moment you step into the ship until you outside the server room.

Please read my walkthrough for more detail.

Headshot 5 snipers with M33 sniper rifle

Please refer to the walkthrough for the location section that I named:

Places where Sniper are: Broken building area (inside), Zipline (when alerted only), and Engine Room (when alerted).

Please read my walkthrough for more detail.

Backstab 10 enemies

You can do this any times throughout the mission and it much easier if you in “ghost” mode to do it.

Stealth through the zipline

This applies from the start of the mission until you on top of the zipline platform.

Please read my walkthrough for more detail.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Like I stated above, I will write up until to the front of the server room, and below is list of the area sections that I’ve name for easy to understand:
  • Broken building area (outside)
  • Broken building area (inside)
  • Park and stair area
  • Zipline area
  • Wing section area
Floor will be written as ground floors, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor, and top/4th floor.

Broken building area (outside)

This is assuming you have “Ghost” but if you don’t that fine as well, because I done this section with and without ghost. But this will be written with “ghost”.
  • Number of enemies: 3 grunt (1 on the 1st floor, 2 on the 2nd floor).
This is the start of the mission and the first enemy you encounter has his back turn to you, you can wait until he walk away or stab him now; both will be backstab either way (no ghost require here).

The next is go up to the 2nd floor where the 2 enemies are (ghost before you up, if you have it) and backstab the one when he get to the location where he is looking out into the direction where you just came from on the boat before the mission started. Then turn 180 degree and hide behind the wall and wait a few second before the 2nd grunt come in and has his back facing you and then stab him. Note: on the 2nd floor part, it can be done without ghost. It require looking at the radar and timing (because I done it before but really hard).

Broken building area (inside)

This is assuming you have “Ghost” but if you don’t that fine as well, because I done this section with and without ghost. But this will be written with “ghost”.
  • Number of enemies: 7 [3 Sniper, 4 Grunt]; (1 sniper: top/4th floor, 2 sniper: 2nd floor; 4 grunt on the ground floor but 1 of them will come up to the 2nd floor).
Picture taken after I Killed most of the enemies in this area
Now that you done killing the previous 2 grunt, you will proceed to the next part by jumping into a broken hole to get to next section which is the “Broken building area (inside)”. You see a Black Jack supply in front of you before you turn the corner and meet 1 enemy sniper with his back turn to you, snipe him with the sniper rifle. You stay in this location where you just “headshot” your 1st sniper and snipe people from here.

After killing your 1st sniper, you will see another sniper across the building on the same floor as you; he will not see you unless you go to the ground floor. Go snipe this sniper next. At this point, you should go to the back room and enter Black Jack supply just to save a checkpoint to not make a mistake or you should save after every kill in this area.

Next after killing the 2nd sniper, on the same building side there is a grunt on the ground floor walking back and forth and only stopping when he reaches his normal patrol point. Now there is Black Jack supply on that ground floor where he will pass, he wll stand in front of the bar counter. You snipe this grunt when he stop in front of the bar counter. You can kill this 1 grunt first or the 2nd sniper first, either one is fine.

Now assuming you kill the 2 above enemies quickly or not, start paying attention to your radar as 1 grunt will come up to where you are as one of his patrol. Go ghost before he come up and stab/melee him in front when he half way up; while still in ghost snipe the rest of the 2 grunt on the ground floor starting with the nearest to you to the furthest. By now there only the 1 sniper on the top/4th floor left.

If you good with sniping, snipe him from below, if not or you don’t want make a mistake at this point climb up the stair from the left side (the same side where kill your first sniper). Then snipe him when you on his floor without being seen. Once done jump down to the next area.

Park and stair area

  • Number of enemies: 3 (1 officer, 2 grunt)
The minute you jump down (left side, it easier) and turn the corner, you meet 1 officer with it back to you. Snipe him, and go further a little and turn right and snipe the grunt on your right. Finally snipe the final grunt in front of you that bit further ahead of you. Now no more enemies, and proceed to the stair to the zipline. Once you jump down from the stair and onto the zipline platform, the game will tell you that you just finish: “Stealth through the zipline”.

Note: If you come from the right side, the number of enemies will be the same but the arrangement of the enemies will make stealth a little harder if you don’t move fast. That why I say go to the left side.

Zipline area

  • Number of enemies (w/o alert): 4 grunt
  • Number of enemies added to the scene when alerted (whether you slide down the zipline or not): 5 sniper
  • Number of enemies added when alerted (when you finally slide down from the zipline): 8 (6 grunt, 2 sniper)
In this area, you can go all out and doesn’t have to worry about a thing call Stealth, because if you kill the 4 grunt in this area without alerting anyone then no enemies will spawn until you enter the “Wing section area” which is not good if you trying to headshot some snipers and also because you will not have enough sniper headshot if you miss this area of sniper.

So when you in the zipline area, don’t slide down the zipline and start shooting/sniping from above. First off first, purposely miss a shot to alert the enemies or blow a barrel up. You just need to alert the enemies, don’t care how you do it. Once alert, several enemies will show up. Head shot 2 more sniper and you done with “Headshot 5 snipers with M33 sniper rifle” if you follow this walkthrough up until now. There enough sniper here for it.

Now slide down the zipline when everyone dead; this will spawn some more snipers and grunts. Make sure you kill every enemy before you enter the “wing section area” or else they will cause problem for you such as alert those inside when they spawn while doing Stealth.

Wing section area

  • Number of enemies: 4 (3 grunt, 1 officer)
Order of the enemy will be like this from closest to you to the farthest: grunt, officer, grunt, grunt.

Picture taken before I begin this area, while hiding
Ok let get started then, first off you ghost here or not up to you.

You kill the closest enemy (grunt) by sniping him when he all the way on the right side or backstab.

If you ghosting kill the 1st grunt first before ghosting (uses the method above) and time your jump all the way to the end, remember when you jumping you will be visible. You may need to kill the last grunt at the end through melee.

Another method is uses Mantys Engine to do the killing.

Kill (snipe) the officer when he at one of the side whiles the second grunt next to him is further away and looking away.

Now snipe the furthest grunt that in the back when he all the way on the right side or the second grunt when he in the center doing computing (the one after the officer), whichever one give you the best shot first.

Now finally snipe the last grunt. You could try to backstab him but who will take the risk. Now I being sniping all the enemy from the same section as the Black Jack location, only moving around to get the right angle from left to right on my side.

Now all the enemies are dead, just head toward the server room and when you outside the server room, the game will tell you that you just finish “Stealth through the wing

That all the walkthrough I will write because all that left is backstabbing a few more enemies which can be easily done by ghosting. And finish the mission.

Killzone: Mercenary - Mission 2 (Code of Engagement): Demolition Contract (walkthrough)

Now here a Contract walkthrough that written and taken from the following web site:

I copy and paste and spelling correct the thing but it the same as the web site, however the supplement comment I will add will be in Bold, Italic, and Underline.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Contract loadout requirements: none, but as one of the requirements consists of achieving 40 kills the following weapons can help:
  • Secondary weapon: M80, M327 VC9, VC11
  • Equipment: M194 Frag
  • VAN-GUARD: Porcupine
  • Armor: "Supply" to increase your ammo capacity or the "Blast" armor to prevent you from accidentally killing yourself by a blast

The mission requirements:

  • Destroy all the generators
  • Avoid scientist deaths
  • Achieve 40 explosive kills
  • Destroy all 8 petrusite canisters in the server room

Destroy all the generators

The 1st "Generators" on the Demolition Contract
The first one can be found right at the start on the terrace. See your radar for a blast icon.
  • It on the floor where the 2 Helghast at and “NOT” on the 1st lone Helghast at
The next two generators can be found right after clearing the building filled with Helghast troopers and snipers. Again: follow your radar. Do not jump below until you have blasted these two generators.
  • Both are on the left side of the building; one is on the bottom floor near the center of the map, the other is on the top floor.
The fourth generator can be found in the center of the park directly hereafter and before arriving at the cruiser.

AVOID SCIENTIST DEATHS

The first scientist will be encountered in the server room. Just be careful about who you shoot from then on. The easiest way is not to sneak but to engage in combat. Civilians are marked in white, soldiers with weapons in red. Ignore the white dots and kill the red ones.
  • You can sneak or engage in combat against the soldier without killing the scientists; if you sneaking: kill the 1 officer and the 1 grunt solider (in one hit-kill) outside the server room 1st then go in the server room and stab the 1 grunt solider on the same floor as you. Ignore the 3 grunt solider on top if they did not see you and just go in front of the scientists and they will run out of the room when they (the scientists) see you. They will also run away if you start fighting.
  • There are only 2 scientists in this mission and they are both in the server room.

ACHIEVE 40 EXPLOSIVE KILLS

See the remarks at the loadout requirements. Do remember that the porcupine kills also count as explosive kills. So a very easy way to do this is to just use the porcupine and regularly resupply with Blackjack before the porcupine is depleted.

You should be able to get 40 explosive kills just before entering the cruiser. There are also no scientists to worry about blowing up until the server room in the cruiser.
  • Just uses the weapon of your choices, it is possible to get 40 kill before the server room

Destroy all 8 petrusite canisters in the server room

Enter the cruiser and continue your way until you arrive at the server room where you have to hack a console. Clear the room (but avoid killing scientists!) but do not yet hack the console! If you do so, you will engage in combat and the mission will fail and the "restart from checkpoint" will fail from here on!

The canisters are long light tubes.

The first canisters can be found at the ceiling in the center of the room. They are hanging in an angle with a degree of 45°. The next canisters are hanging in the ceiling against the left wall and the right wall. Directly below those canisters you will see a sort of barrier below. The last canisters can be found there.
  • The hack terminal is at the center of the room. The canisters are on both side of the wall. 4 on one side and 4 on the other side. Both side will have one canisters on the floor while three on the ceiling.

Killzone: Mercenary - Pre-Talk on maybe walkthrough

I may or may not write my own walkthrough on Killzone: Mercenary Contract missions. If it written by someone else I will states it and then add some of my own supplement to it afterward. The one I will post are the one I can actually do or done.

Before I go further, I will state that this is my 1st Killzone game and I'm not so good at joystick control, meaning I'm a noob when it come to joystick control. I'm a PC Gamer who uses mouse and keyboard, so if I'm done with a contract mission and write it, it maybe a play style for noob, like me (on the joystick control).

If I post an Image of the game for reference, it not screen cap or screenshot. It a picture taken from camera on the PS Vita, just so to be clear.

According to IGN wiki the following contracts are describe as:

Precision Contracts usually require extreme accuracy; completing the Contract quickly, killing a certain target, or getting a certain number of headshots. Payout increases with each Difficulty level.

Covert Contracts usually require going in quiet; clearing an area stealthily, backstabbing some enemies, or destroying security cameras. Payout increases with each Difficulty level.

Demolition Contracts usually require going in loud; using your VAN-Guard, achieving multi-kills, or generally destroying as much as possible. Payout increases with each Difficulty level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All written walkthrough by me are tested on all difficulty. There are some contracts/missions walkthrough that I will not write due to that I personally can not do because of my lack of skills on certain mission.

I don't like time limit and head shot requirement objective type of  missions.

Persona 4 Golden - Sea Guardian

Fishing/Catching the "Sea Guardian" is a pain, but it is possible. Now before I state what I wanted to talk about, below is couple of links that talk about this fish.

The following link below is a guide to fishing the Sea Guardian:
The following links below are facts related information about the Sea Guardian:
The following links below are comments about the Sea Guardian from people trying to fish this Fish out with little and/or no success:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that I got the above link and information tuck away and stuff; now I will state what I wanted to states and that is I will tell you a way to know whether you going get the fish or not. There are way to know when when you are fishing it out, there are indication whether you are wasting time or there are a chance you are going get it. If you wondering why you should believe what I stating; Answer: because of the following information equal my experiences equal facts.

*Attempt: number of times until I caught the fish

*How: how I caught it; fast reel [(x) button] or normal reel [(o) button] or both; with self calculation of the percentage overall in usage of those

River Guardian:
Attempt: 6
How: Fast Reel: 1 or 2 times; Normal Reel as a finisher and in between-er (60-70% fast reel, 30-40% normal reel.)

Sea Guardian:
Attempt: lost count after 20+ attempt
How: Fast Reel: 3; Normal Reel for in between-er (90% fast reel, 10% normal reel.)

Now if you look/click at all the above links, you should know by now that this fish is not easy to catch. At one times or many times when I was failing to catch the "Sea Guardian", I was cursing the people who made this game and ask why myself why can't I catch it, and ask alot of why along the way. Anyway through the many failure, I notices that there indication whether you going catch that "Sea Guardian" on that "attempt" or not.

There are two sign/indication through that one "attempt" that tell you whether you have chance or not to catch the "Sea Guardian". The first one is "How much did it struggle throughout the game"; meaning how fast did the "bobber" try to move to the red area. The second and the most important one is the indication that truly tell you if you have chance or not is "What happen to the bobber after you push the second fast reel (x) button?" If the "bobber" jump right through the red area right after you push the second fast reel and/or orange area, then you have no chance of getting the fish. However if it stay within the blue or yellow after the 2nd fast reel been push and it did not struggle much, then you have a chance if you do not make a mistake before the 3rd fast reel show up. This information may or may not be helpful but it is still good information about this Fish and how catch it.

Taking picture of the Moon (Lunar) - Test #2

This is my 2nd test of taking picture of the moon (lunar) using “point & shoot” camera on top of tripod to stabilize the image. The result and my result to the ever continually to the question I ask myself  “is possible to take picture with detail of the moon with point and shoot?”

I can only give an opinion and not finalize the answer because I only test what I have but it good enough. The answer is “it is possible but with a very low success rate of any detail image of the moon”, meaning in layman term you can try with the “point and shoot” but the picture is not going be like what you see with your naked eyes or with telescope.

So in result, what people say (online) it possible to take picture on the moon; my reply to that is that you can try but unlike the other people (online) I will state use a camera with high zoom (I know it this will help because I just tested it) and maybe and just maybe with camera that has a high iso number if it possible on a point and shoot (not sure) since this can control night image.

Picture taken on 7/6/14 around 10:30 P.M. on tripod.

Camera: Coolpix L620
