- From what I know, an "aged" wine (usually in an oak barrel) for "X" amount of time usually months to years that are store under the best condition by wine maker before being sold to the consumers.
- A wine that you (the consumer) is going to "aged" is wine that is unopened wine that be put in some storage until the later consume. The aged wine will change in flavor (taste) depend on the wine and other factors; not all wine can "aged".
- $20.00 or less is consider cheap wine.
- Wine that aged well within 1 thru 15 or so years , opinions may vary.
- Wine that aged well longer then 10 plus years, opinions are near similar.

Question: What other alcoholic beverage will last a while (as in years), as in unopened and store?
Answer: Distilled beverage (spirit)
According to the my reading and the following the links, "spirit" even in the worse storage conditions will not change (flavor or go bad) unless you do something like put it in the sun [put any alcoholic beverage in the sun for long period of time regardless of what it is, is bad for it].
